Michael & Lauren have known each other all their lives and began dating October 1, 2005. They have been inseparable ever since that night when Lauren was a bridesmaid & Michael told her "Wow, you've really grown up!" In their 4 1/2 years together, they've grown so much individually and as a couple. Now living together, along with their adorable puppy Payton, they are so excited to be planning their wedding and starting their lives together!

Lauren graduated from in 2005 with her Bachelor's Degree in accounting. She currently works as an accountant for an electrical contractor and has been with the company for almost 4 years. Michael works for a medical supply company as a hardware engineer and has had great success with the company, leading many new product lines and even traveling overseas for training. He will be returning to school this summer to pursue a degree in business!

The couple loves outdoor activities and new adventures and their summer nights are usually spent in front of a bonfire. Taking Payton on long walks is another favorite. They are both huge Cubs & Bears fans and love watching the games together.

Our Proposal

It was a typical Saturday night at home in front of a fire. They had a couple of drinks together and were watching the Olympics. Michael had disappeared down the hallway and Lauren was playing around on her laptop. He returned and sat down on the floor next to her asking what she was looking at. She told him and then after a minute or so, realized he was still on the floor. When she turned to ask what he was doing, she realized he was on one knee and had pulled out the ring box for her to see asking "Will you marry me?" Lauren stared at him shocked and dumbfounded not quite sure he was being serious (I believe I even asked him "What is wrong with you?!") After what felt like 5 minutes of shock, she realized what was happening, covered her eyes and began sobbing. Michael finally asked if that was a yes and she shouted YES YES YES! Then he said "I think we're supposed to put the ring on your finger now!" It was the most perfect night!
